About Us
Castle Framing Fine Arts is a well established, family run business which started out in 1998 in a small side street of Brampton, Cumbria. We initially traded as Studio 2000 and soon expanded the business to take over 4 stalls in Carlisle Market. As a result, the small premises we occupied could not cope with the amount of work coming in from individual customers and the contract framing sector, so we took on an industrial unit in Carlisle to allow us to make our own stock frames.
Our customer base continued to grow and created a need for even larger operational premises where we could consolidate everything under one roof including our own large workshop and retail shop front. So in 2003 we bought the premises previously occupied by the Co-Op in Front Street, Brampton, refurbished them to suit our needs and renamed the business Castle Framing Limited. This is our main operational base today.
Equipment
We have invested in state-of-the-art machinery that allows us to cater for many printing and mount options. Our computerised mount cutter can cut custom designs as well as ordinary mounts and glass and we can do large format printing of photos including canvas prints, cards and Giclee prints.
Expertise
We offer a full picture framing service with all the work carried out in our specialised workshop in Brampton, overseen by our Guild commended framer and staff trained by him.
Artwork
We cater for all tastes with a wide range of quality art and pride ourselves on working with many local artists and try to showcase as much of their work in our gallery as we can, as we believe in encouraging local talent. We offer originals, limited editions prints and open edition prints as well as cards. If you would like to enquire about the availability of originals from any of our artists please contact us.
Commitment
Our longstanding commitment to customer satisfaction and product knowledge is, we believe, the key factor in the success we enjoy today.
Whilst a large part of our business is in Cumbria, we have individual and contract framing customers throughout the UK - as far afield as Surrey to Penzance to Scotland.
